fiddle workshop

Hello:As you can see from my background on this site, I am from Campbell's Creek. I would be interested in putting on a fiddle workshop in the Stephenville/Port au Port area. I would like to know how many people would be interested.I play by ear but, I read music also and I play in most of the major and minor keys. I have a fairly large repritoire of tunes ranging from slow airs, waltzes, polkas, marches, strathspeys, reels and jigs. I play Scottish, Irish, and Acadian/Quebec tunes.Cheers:Mac…See More

Folk Night at Holiday Inn

Folk Night will be held on July 3rd. Come to the Holiday Inn for a night of entertainment. The host group will perform for the first hour, then there will be an open mic and the host group will continue after that. Come and sing a tune or two!!!Chance to win lots of prizes! My Background

Greetings:

I grew up in Campbell's Creek. My father, Danny Campbell, Played fiddle. His people came from Cape Breton around 1850. His was one of the families that brought their music and instruments with them to the West Coast of Newfoundland. I started playing by ear around the age of 10. When I came to Cape Breton I learned to read music and have accumilated a repratoire of Scottish, Irish, Acadian, and Quebec music. I played at your open mike in October, 2008. I would like…
