Hello:
As you can see from my background on this site, I am from Campbell's Creek. I would be interested in putting on a fiddle workshop in the Stephenville/Port au Port area. I would like to know how many people would be interested.
I play by ear but, I read music also and I play in most of the major and minor keys. I have a fairly large repritoire of tunes ranging from slow airs, waltzes, polkas, marches, strathspeys, reels and jigs. I play Scottish, Irish,…

I grew up in Campbell's Creek. My father, Danny Campbell, Played fiddle. His people came from Cape Breton around 1850. His was one of the families that brought their music and instruments with them to the West Coast of Newfoundland. I started playing by ear around the age of 10.
